How do i hook up my desktop workstation to my 50'' plasma tv?

I a moment ago bought a new 50'' plasma tv ending week and was a moment or two disappointed that it didn't have a laptop slot on the back since i want to be wirless beside keyboard and mouse as capably as xbox. Someone told me to use the s-video out on the back of my Dell Dimension 8200 and connect straight to the S-video contained by on the back of the plasma. Is this true? What other functions will i obligation to do? Change settings on pc or etc.?

Answer:

Thats it. You may necessitate to enable the svideo port. cant insist on on the exact steps cause i dont know your hardware. it may connect as a clone of the common display or a second monitor totally. check the display properies and see if it shows 2 monitors , if it does then check the 'extend my desktop' on the second monitor. excluding that there may be some switch combination to press

also mose of thos displays do have a DVI nouns, digital video connection, if your graphics card have that then that may be the passageway to go.

You have need of an S video cable to connect your PC to the TV. This however means your computer must be a cords length away from the TV...

Some fresh video cards also have a DVI cable which looks similar to

Dont use a computer on ur plasma!! Ghost images..will ruin it.
