How tochange fromstanding computer to knees top?

I HAVEJUST BOUGHTA NEW LAPTOP. I WAS USING A COMPUTER BEFORE HOW DO I CHANGE TO LAPTOP FROM MY OLD COMPUTER AND SAVE ALL MY ADRESSES AND DESK TOP ETC

Answer:

If your laptop have Windows Vista, just click START - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Windows Easy Transfer. Click 'Next', next 'Start A New Transfer'. (note that your PC and laptop has to be connected first, and both are turned on and logged on)

Otherwise, create backup of the files you need to move.

For desktop items (your own items, not non-attendance items like My Computer) and your documents, basically copy and paste (either near flashdisk, etc, or direct connection from PC to laptop)

For address book and emails, if you use Outlook Express, only open the program and click FILE - EXPORT, consequently you can choose to export Emails and Address Book to a file.

Later, after you copy these files into your laptop, of late open Outlook Express in that, then click FILE - IMPORT, next select the backup files that you have made.

There are several softwares that can do this for you, one of them is StepUp, it migrates background, applications and settings from one source to another.

Copy all your facts and settings across. ~
You must not copy Windows and other programs such as Internet Explorer or Outlook Express or any other application program that requires to be installed. One way is to use a memory stick, copy the files you want onto the memory stick and verbs them to the laptop. You can delete the files from the memory stick once transferred and put more files from the PC to be transferred. The other way is to connect the two computers together.
