How to calibrate monitor colors surrounded by Vista?

My monitor's colors are a bit rotten. How do I go more or less adjusting the colors surrounded by Vista?

Answer:

My favorite display setup utility:

This will help you to set up your contrast and brightness correctly, and it's free. The full publication gives a *much* better display setup, but it's pretty expensive. My warning: don't use the nVidia color setup program that comes with nVidia drivers. It may set the colors accurately, but it other makes the monitors *way* too dull for comfortable viewing. If you have an nVidia board, you can try it surrounded by the advanced nVidia settings.
